Elizabeth Fowle

Hello Everyone,

My name is Elizabeth Fowle, and I graduated from EDS in 2003. Nowadays I work with a professional ballet company where, in addition to being a dancer for the company, I am also the Ballet Master and teach in our pre-professional schools. I have also choreographed and danced for professional opera companies as well as choreographed several musicals.

I would not be where I am today without EDS. The value of hard work was instilled early. We learned how to manage our time wisely and how to effectively interact with other people, be it socially or in a more regimented environment, such as a group project. The faculty and staff take such an interest in their students, allowing them to develop as individuals and helping them find their path to success. The individualized attention truly made a difference in my life.

EDS gives students a broad, well-rounded education that creates thoughtful, intelligent, empathetic, and accepting people. I could not have asked for a better place to start my formal education.

Years attended EDS: 1997-2003

Colleges attended and degrees earned: BFA in Contemporary Dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts
