Amy Smith

Originally from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, I’ve had the joy of teaching in Louisiana, Georgia, and now North Carolina. With over twelve years of teaching experience, I’ve served as a lead teacher in Pre-K3 through Second Grade. I also took a special break from the classroom to spend five wonderful years at home with my two children.

Our family absolutely loves living in Pinehurst and being part of the incredible community at EDS. The school is truly something special—filled with unmatched families and the sweetest children. It’s a place where kindness, support, and a genuine love for learning shine through every day.

In our spare time, my family enjoys being outdoors, watching SEC football, attending holiday events around town, and spending time with friends. I feel so grateful to call EDS home and to share this journey with such a wonderful group of students and families!
