Laura McLester

Hello, my name is Laura McLester. I received my associates in language arts and social studies from Lees McRae College. I transferred to Lenior Rhyne University and earned my bachelor’s in intermediate education. I worked at Mountain View elementary school in Hickory N.C.  before having my children. The town my husband and I lived in needed a preschool so I started one at First Presbyterian Church. I was blessed to direct the school for eleven years. I worked at Catawba Community College as a Basic skills instructor until I retired. My heart has been yearning to get back into teaching students for the past few years. I love seeing students light up when learning something new. In my spare time I love to play with my beautiful granddaughters, take long walks in nature and watching the sunrise over the ocean. I am looking forward to working at EDS helping students and staff this next year.
