Mrs. Foster & Ms. Webster’s Classes Episcopal Day School Kindergarten The groundhog saw his shadow so that means six more weeks of winter! The winter we have already had hasn’t been too cold, so we’ve been able to go outside for recess almost every day! It’s one of our favorite things to do and we always look forward to it! We are excited about using all of the phonetic skills that we’ve worked on since August to help with real reading! We’re beginning our Reading Series and are excited about learning how to read words, sentences and whole books! Learning about different patterns, counting money, telling time and counting by 10’s are among the many things we are learning and reviewing during our morning meeting time and math lessons. Before Christmas, kindergarten collected new mittens for children in Moore County. We collected over 80 pair that were given to children in Robbins, North Carolina. We have lots of love to share and are so happy to let others know how sweet and caring we are! This is a picture of us making valentines and filling goody bags for our friends living at Penick Village.
We’re excited about all of the great things that are in store for us during 2008!
