Mrs. Crickmore's Class
The
fourth grade is off to a fun start, having
completed
an extensive social studies unit covering map skills and North Carolina
regions.
We enjoyed the Malcolm Blue Festival in early October, and
will be visiting the Southern Pines Taxidermy Museum in late October or
early November. Many animal adaptations
can be observed here!
We completed an
extensive
spelling project on homophones, homographs, and homonyms. The music
teacher, Mrs. Gessner, even wrote a song to help the children keep them
straight.
Dear
Mr. Henshaw is the much-loved novel we have been studying. Students
inadvertently learn about many vocations during the exploration of a young boy's
difficult transitional life.
Again, the
fourth
grade
boasts the largest class in the school - 19!!! The biggest and the best,
we like to say!
