Registration begins in January every year.
Students will be admitted to Episcopal Day School in the following order of priority:
1. Returning Students
2. Siblings of students
3. Children of Emmanuel Episcopal parishioners
4. Open enrollment to the larger community
Returning students will be mailed a re-enrollment contract in January of each year. Any outstanding school fees must be reconciled before a contract for re-enrollment is offered.
An application for admission to EDS for the upcoming school year may be submitted at any time.
All incoming families are encouraged to visit and students will be assessed to ensure proper placement. Report cards and previous records are also considered in the placement process and must be submitted for all students who have completed any grade from Kindergarten through fourth grade. A release form allowing a current school to send student records to EDS is available here. If families are unavailable to visit due to geographical distance, student records and contact with former schools can help determine acceptance and placement. Assessments and decisions about admittance are typically made during the January/February time frame.
Registration dates for the 2017-2018 school year are as follows:
- Current Students & Siblings: February 3, 2017 deadline
- Members of Emmanuel Parish: February 10, 2017 deadline
- Open to the Public: starting February 13, 2017.
There is a February 24, 2017 deadline.
Interested families should submit an application and $50.00 application fee (non-refundable) as soon as possible. Openings will be filled in the order the application was received. Once placement has been offered to a student, the family must pay a non-refundable $250.00 deposit to hold the spot. This $250.00 payment is credited to the student’s tuition obligation for the year. The following forms must be completed and added to a child’s file before the first day of school:
- Birth Certificate Copy
- Medical Form
- Personal Data Form
- Discipline Form
- Request for Records
- Any information relating to your child’s health and well-being.
- All medical forms and immunizations need to be signed and completed by a physician.

Early Childhood Program Students
For children to be considered for admittance to our Early Childhood Program, they should have reached the age of 3, 4, or 5 by September 1 and must be potty trained. However, a child whose birthday does not fall before September 1 may be assessed to determine his or her developmental readiness to attend EDS.
All new applicants for ECP will be required to attend one of the two informal group assessment offered. This year, siblings of current EDS students will be assessed on Thursday, February 2, 2017 and new ECP students will be assessed on Thursday, February 16, 2017. For the 2017-2018 school year, EDS will offer three ECP options:
- One Class- Older 2’s and younger 3’s- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (half day only)
- One Class- Combination class of 3’s and 4’s- Mon-Fri mornings (half day only)
- Three Classes- Combination classes of 3’s and 4’s- Mon-Fri (half or full day)
All ECP classes will be 10-14 students with one teacher and one teaching assistant. Half day dismissal is at 12pm and full day dismissal is at 3pm. Lunch is part of both the half day and full day options.
