« Ms. Bennett & Ms. Thrasher’s 3 year olds are continuing our letter and numeral study this month. Our winter units include weather, animals and hibernation. “Let’s Find Out” about each of our friends starts this month.
First graders started off this month learning to make snowflakes and using a “First, Next, Last” flow chart to write about the steps we took to make them. We are reading about MLK Jr. and Civil Rights. In math we are learning the “doubles plus one” fact strategy. We are anticipating the 100th day of school on the 28th. »

Mrs. Foster & Mrs. Broughton’s kindergarten classes finished working on the first 26 phonograms and are beginning to use our pre-reading skills to read daily. The word families are the source of our spelling words and we’ll be discussing winter weather and Martin Luther King Jr.
