« First graders started off this month learning to make snowflakes and using a “First, Next, Last” flow chart to write about the steps we took to make them. We are reading about MLK Jr. and Civil Rights. In math we are learning the “doubles plus one” fact strategy. We are anticipating the 100th day of school on the 28th.
Third graders are making maps of our community, reading Pippi Longstocking. They have also finished cursive and will soon be writing only in cursive. Math finds them busy learning square roots and multiplication in math. The STAR Math program has also started. In Science we are dissecting owl pellets and learning about Food Chains and Food Webs. »

Mrs. Davis & Mrs. Harrison’s 2nd graders are learning about Sound in Science. We are also busy learning our math facts and regrouping. We are also “Teaching Peace” for MLK Jr. Day.
